ULINK’s SATA Test Tool Covers New Advanced Host Controller: Marvell 88SX6081 8-Port SATA II with Gen II 3.0GB Transfer Speed and NCQ Feature Set
Santa Clara, CA, September 1, 2005-ULINK Technology Inc, an innovative technology and engineering company, announced today that the company’s flagship product for the storage industry testing and debug has a newly released version: ”DriveMaster® 2006 Professional Edition.” This newly release version will support Intel new ICH7R family of systems for Serial ATA Gen II product testing. The Serial ATA Gen II capability provides user a new vehicle for testing NCQ and Gen II high speed SATA interface.
Serial ATA Gen II incorporates many new features such as 3.0Gbps data transfer rate and interface power management that is designed for improved performance and reliability mid and high end users. DriveMaster 2006 Professional version, powered by Microsoft Visual Studio, has integrated all of the SATA Gen II requirements into a single test platform for design, debug, and validation. This test tool has integrated vertical testing need from component to the system; covers the BIST test, OOB and low level signal BER test, as well as command protocol tests. In addition, DriveMaster 2006 Professional provides an effective method for the device performance evaluation and device reliability assessment.
The DriveMaster has been used in the design and debug of the Serial ATA hardware and software. Users make testing on their Advanced Host Controller Interface (AHCI) protocol debug, Port Multiplier Port (PMP) interface debug, and Interface Power Management (IPM) interaction debugs. With the roll out of the DriveMaster 2006 Professional, user can use this for more advanced testing such as SATA Gen II protocol and SATA IL testing. DriveMaster 2006 Professional continue to support all features of Silicon Image 3124 and Marvell 6081 host controllers. These hardware supports makes drive master the most complete and comprehensive Serial ATA test tool available in the market.
