DM Performance Suite to be Bundled with Drive Master 2006 Pro for Benchmark SATA-II Performance Measurement

Santa Clara, CA, January 3, 2006—ULINK Technology Inc, an innovative technology and engineering company, announced today that the Drive Master 2006 Pro is bundled with its unique SATA Performance Suite aiming for SATA-II performance measurement. The SATA Performance Suite is created to measure the device performance parameters from Drive Master’s test scripts. By comparing the test results user can benchmark drive’s performance.

"With its experience of the SATA-II interface testing ULINK has created a test suites that is focused on SATA-II performance. The test suite compares the performance level of NCQ and non-NCQ commands. The test also utilizes various simulated application models to benchmark the NCQ performance," said Edwin Kuo, ULINK's Marketing Director. "This test suite can be used by R&D engineers, quality assurance department, system integrators, as well as benchmark reviewers such as magazine editors. In addition to the testing technology, ULINK has utilized its newly announced DM Control technology. User can starts the SATA Performance Test Suite from Microsoft’s Excel spreadsheet with a click of button. The test result is stored in the same Excel worksheet for review and its graphic charts are automatically drawn. The chart is automatically generated by the DM Control right after the test. User can view and compare results from test to test to benchmark the performance by using the Excel spreadsheet. ULINK believes this utility can greatly improve the efficiency of the test efforts and obtain the best and reliable benchmark data for the SATA-II devices. Venders in IT Industry using this SATA Performance Benchmark suite can provide the results for cross reference and checking.
