ULINK Released Drive Master 2008 Professional SATA

Santa Clara, CA, November 5, 2007—ULINK Technology Inc, an innovative technology and engineering company, announced today that it releases the new version of Drive Master Software: DM2008 Professional for SATA. Drive Master test software is an advanced test software platform provides complete testing functions for the SATA interface validation. This test platform is the most popular third party tool that enables users to check the function and performance of the SATA interface. It has been used in the SATA-IO Interop Workshop compliance tests including the host and device digital function validation, and the SATA PHY test BIST Pattern Generator.

Today ULINK announced its releases a new version of the flagship software Drive Master 2008 Professional for SATA. In this new version ULINK has engineered its software to support the newest version of Microsoft Windows Vista operating system. The supporting of Vista gives user a full flexibility of choices from the most popular windows software. When user installs the Drive Master it can run under previous Windows XP, Windows 2003 Server, or Windows Vista. In addition, the software is tailed itself to work in the advanced Windows environment in the years to come.

Drive Master 2008 Professional also supports newly released Intel South Bridge, ICH9 AHCI controller. With the latest Intel ICH9 controller Drive Master supports its eSATA and Port Multiple function. eSATA is a key feature provided by the SATA interface to support external SATA connections. Drive Master 2008 Professional can provide test to the new Intel platform, as well as the existing inter ICH controllers such as ICH8/7/6/5/4 etc.

Supporting of more platforms allows user to test the SATA interface in various host systems. Drive Master 2008 Professional made a giant step to support additional hardware from various host controllers such as AMD/ATI, VIA Tech, nVIDIA, etc. ULINK is uniquely supporting the AHCI platforms in the market today with its ACHI interface expertise. Host controller companies have been using this Drive Master software to design and validate its AHCI implementation. Because of the supporting of many host controllers, Drive Master provides maximum platform availability and flexibility for the device companies to validate their devices.
